• Remove your items and toss the trash. Leave the lock secured on the locker

METHODS AND STUDIO INSTRUMENTS

• CLEAN your mouthpiece
• Toss your trash, used reeds, etc.
• Make sure all accessories are in the case.
• Return to the office directly for inspection and check in (preferred)
• OR – leave locked in locker for collection on the due date

RENEWALS for Music majors, minors, and graduate students who are returning in the fall or graduated in May 2023

• Practice Keys (MB/Smith, harpsichord/organ, jazz drum kit) – fill out Renewal Form BEFORE 5/15/2023.
• Lockers – fill out Renewal Form BEFORE 5/15/2023.
• Harp Practice, Percussion Practice, EMS, CAMIL, ICMA keys must obtain written permission from the area professor(s)/instructors.
• Studio Instruments – must have faculty permission. Please contact us for information and process.

Fines and Fees
KEYS AND LOCKERS ​ Practice Room Keys (Gold, Silver, Org./Harps.) – Music majors, minors, lessons for credit, PLP/ISA University Students.

• No initial deposit
• Late fines:  $5.00 per week, for up to 30 days, non-refundable.
• Non-returned key charge: $125.00

Grand Piano/Green Room Key for concert hall(s) ($90/$200)

• Late fine: $90 per day, up to 3 days.
• Non-returned key (4+ Days) - +$130 (total $400) to pay for the lock change and new key stock

EMS/CMP/mailroom/storage room/audio-visual keys ($5.00 per week/<$250)

• No initial deposit, by permission of the professor only.
• Late fine: $5.00 per week, up to 30 days. Non-refundable.
• Non-returned key fee: cost of re keying the door, plus replacement key stock. Up to, but not to exceed, $250.00

Locker Fees

• Lockers are $15.00 per semester.
• Lockers will renew between the Fall and Spring semesters if locker is not vacated by the due date. The corresponding rental fee will apply to your student account.
• End of Spring and end of summer semesters: $25.00 cleaning fee will result.
• Locker should be completely empty and the included lock on locker.
• We will remove personal belongings, and library books returned to the library. This includes instruments, electronics, clothing, personal paper goods/notes, etc.

EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUMENTS

Equipment and Instruments/Late Fines and Replacement Costs

• $15.00 per week late fine up to 30 days/4 weeks, not to exceed $60.00 (non-refundable)
• 30+ Days Late: 
  • A hold on your student account until you pay for, or replace, the item.
  • We may file a Police Report if the equipment is not returned.
• Damages:
  • Assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • The following criteria is what we use to determine responsibility:
  • Normal wear and tear vs. misuse and negligence.
  • Severity of damage.
  • Cooperation and communication by and/or of borrower during investigation.

 

• Accessories:
  • Based on market value as determined by the School of Music.
  • Missing items charges placed on your student account and are non-refundable.
