1st 8-weeks Supplemental Instruments DUE TODAY AND TOMORROW!

  • Cart is in front of MB 0330 today until 4:30 PM, and tomorrow 9 AM to 6 PM. Instrument returned after that date will accrue late fees! If you need an extension, you must communicate with us prior to 5 PM on Friday, March 19.

2nd 8-weeks Supplemental Instruments are available for pick-up (except Euphonium/Tuba)

REMINDER FROM DR. SPOSATO, DIRECTOR OF THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC:

...It is crucial that you...leave the rehearsal space during...break times; this applies to both SoM and Krannert Center spaces.
 
This is obviously a difficult and confusing time. As more people get vaccinated, we are seeing more and more requests for exceptions to policy and more people taking it upon themselves to change policy. But we cannot allow this to happen: all of our previous precautions and policies remain in effect, and we all must work to continue their enforcement.
 
Thank you for your continued vigilance, and for everything you do to help keep our students safe!

For your information, encouraging but keep up the effort!
  • COVID positive case numbers in February were, on average, about 33 cases per day. However, since February 24, the number of cases per day has been less than 20, an encouraging trend. If maintained, it would represent the lowest positive cases on campus. Our goal is to keep case numbers low and not allow them to creep up.
  • We can do better if everybody does their best to: 
    • Keep to your assigned testing schedule 
    • Keep your mask on 
    • Keep your distance (at least six feet) 
    • Keep your in-person gatherings small 

  • Mr. Deets replaced the wheels on the Steinway in the recording studio to help with ease of moving the instrument and security of the legs.
