What do we do? The operations team provides support to all students, faculty, and staff in the School of Music such as: classrooms, offices, practice rooms, instruments and pianos, resources and supplies, technology, telecommunications, and curriculum support. We also make sure that the School of Music is in compliance with State and University policies and procedures. It is our mission to help ensure the School of Music is a safe and productive place for all of our students, faculty, and staff and that our students have a wonderful and educational experience!

Nathan Mandel - Operations, Properties, and Scheduling
As the Operations Manager, Nathan takes care of everything related to properties and inventory, policies and procedures regarding facilities use and access, scheduling, aspects of instructional support and logistics, purchasing and acquisition of equipment, and a myriad of other things. Nathan has a Doctor of Musical Arts in saxophone from the University of Illinois. Nathan is an active performing saxophonist. He has 6 years of band directing experience and has worked as a college instructor in saxophone and Music Appreciation. He has worked for the School of Music since 2005 as Graduate Assistant and extra help, and since 2013 as a member of the staff.
