This morning (Wednesday, November 5) Chad found the windows next to the pianos wide open. The room temperature was near 40 F. Also, the thermostat was set at 80 F. In short, DO NOT open the windows for any reason. Opening of windows causes the calibration of the HVAC system to falter. You can read more about his here: http://uofimusicoandf.weebly.com/energy-conservation.html. Also, 40 F temperatures can cause major damage to the pianos. If you are finding temperature issues within the building, report it immediately to myself and/or Chad Wahls so we can investigate and contact Facilities and Services for repairs if needed.
Heat reported out in Professor Heiles' office. Wahls investigating.
